Dear Parents and Guardians,

Beginning this week, students have been practicing and preparing for the Terry Fox Run during Physical Education. Throughout the grades, students have been learning about Terry Fox and discussing what it means to persevere, how to set attainable goals, and defining what characteristics are found in a hero.

On Tuesday, September 24th from 1:45 to 2:15pm, Westgate staff and students ​will be running the Terry Fox Run outside on the field. The morning Kindergarten students will be doing their own Terry Fox run in the morning. Please dress your children for the weather, we will run rain or shine. Parents are welcome to join us. 

Did you know that our school's fundraising goal is $7000 this year? If we succeed, Mme Julie and Mme Stephanie will be wearing a special costume next Friday. If you wish to make a donation, students are welcome to bring a "Toonie for Terry" in support of the Marathon of Hope.
