New Traffic Signs

1. Disabled Persons Parking

We now have a disabled persons parking sign in front of the school. It is located near the Grade 1 entry on Westminster Drive on the SW side of the school, between the staff parking lot and the crosswalk. Please ensure you do not stop or park your vehicle in this zone.

2. No Parking | Loading and unloading only – new on north side of school (8th avenue)

Three “No Parking | Loading and Unloading Only 7:30-8:30AM and 2:00-3:00PM” signs have been installed along the north side of the school on 8th Avenue. These signs have replaced the “No Parking | Bus Zone” signs which are no longer relevant as buses now park exclusively at the front of the school. These new signs mean that during drop off time, you may stop, help your children get out of the vehicle with their belongings, then send them toward the east and south sides of the school to be supervised (supervision starts at 7:45am).  Please pull up behind the closest vehicle in the zone as it facilitates the arrival of incoming vehicles. For pick up, you may stop, stay in or get out of your vehicle, and wait for your children to come to you. You may not park and leave your vehicle unattended during those times.

Outside of the indicated times, you are permitted to park in this zone.

Please also note that this is not a “Kiss N’ Drop” meaning there will be no supervisors present to assist with the drop off procedures.

Parents of PM Kindergarten students may park here for afternoon drop off.

This new loading and unloading zone should help ease the parking pressures around the school during these busy times.

Grade 1 Assembly

Sincere thanks to all the family members of Grade 1 students who joined us for the Grade 1 assemblies on Thursday, December 14. We were all very proud of the students who worked extremely hard to put on an exceptional performance for their family members and for the school. Also, a special thank you to the teachers who worked hard to make it happen.

Grade 5-6 visit to Vincent Massey School

Thank you to Vincent Massey Band teachers who kindly invited our Grade 5 and 6 students to attend their rehearsal Winter Concert during the afternoon of December 14. Students were accompanied by Grade 9 students to the school after lunch and they returned after 2:00pm. Our students seemed to really enjoy the experience and hopefully some are excited about joining Band in Junior High School.
