Lifetouch Photo Orders 

A reminder to parents, student photo orders were due today, Friday, October 13. Late orders will be accepted until Monday, October 16. Online orders can still be placed after October 13 at mylifetouch.ca. 

Dance Residency 

We are thrilled to welcome back SoundKreations for our annual dance residency.  This year, Moises will be back with us again to teach us some Afro-fusion moves, Hip-Hop and Latin moves all through a DanceCOMBO program. Part of our Physical Education curriculum focuses on directional movement and patterns and sequences of movement in rhythmic and expressive activities. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from an expert in the field of dance. Students will be learning moves in all three dance styles in this residency, which will run from October 16 to November 8, 2023.

Halloween

On Tuesday, October 31, students are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes.  

If your child chooses to participate, please send them to school dressed in their costume that is comfortable for them to wear for the whole day.  Inflatable costumes or costumes that include weapons, masks or face coverings or costumes of a violent or gory nature are not permitted. 

We ask that parents not send candy, food or other items, as we cannot distribute or share them with students. 

Casino Fundraiser 

We are still in need of volunteers for our upcoming casino dates on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12 at Cowboy’s Casino. There are vacancies in several positions on both days. Parking and a free meal are included with all positions. No knowledge of gambling or previous experience is necessary. Volunteers can work more than one shift but must remain in the same position. Please consider signing up today as one casino shift generates the greatest financial return on your time - a low estimate would be about $135/hour worked. Other benefits include time spent with other adults - no kids allowed and getting to know other awesome members in our school community!
