A Friendly Reminder About Arriving on Time
Arriving at school on time helps set students up for a positive and successful day. When students arrive on time, they have the opportunity to enter the school with their peers and teacher, settle into the classroom, and be ready to begin the day together. It also ensures that students don’t miss important instructions, routines, or the beginning of classroom activities and learning.
We encourage families to plan to leave home a little earlier, allowing extra time for the morning drop-off and to find parking in the community. Building in a few extra minutes can make the morning feel much less rushed for everyone and helps students arrive calmly and ready to learn.

Fun Lunches
As we begin our special lunch program, we’d like to remind families that special lunches are only provided to students whose families have purchased them.
If your child is not receiving a special lunch, please take a moment to let them know ahead of time. This can help avoid disappointment or confusion when they see classmates receiving a special lunch.
We also want to ensure that every student has access to a lunch. If purchasing special lunches presents a financial challenge for your family, please reach out to Mme Julie in the office. We are happy to help and will handle these conversations privately and confidentially.

Orange Shirt Day
Orange shirt day is held annually on September 30. It is an opportunity for all people to come together in the spirit of reconciliation. Orange Shirt Day began in 2013 when residential school survivor, Phyllis Webstad, shared how her orange shirt was taken away on her first day at a residential school. As there are no classes on September 30, National Indigenous Peoples Day, students are encouraged to wear an orange t-shirt Tuesday, September 29.
Transportation Services No Longer Required
If your child has been registered for Transportation Services, and the service is no longer required, please ensure you cancel via your MyCBE accounts before the end of September. The CBE will apply charges for those students registered for transportation to your MyCBE accounts in October.
