Frisbee Rob has been a huge hit this year with our students in all grades! If you have a chance, ask your child to show you the skills and coordination they have learned.  

Lifetouch Photo Orders 

A reminder to parents, student photo orders were due today, Friday, October 4. Late orders will be accepted until Monday, October 7. Online orders can still be placed after October 7 at mylifetouch.ca. 

Special Lunch / Popcorn Day Volunteers Needed 

Do you love food and volunteering? Are you looking for a fun way to spend some time at Westgate? We are looking to grow our team of parents who organize and distribute our Healthy Hunger lunches and popcorn. It's a super simple way to give back and get to know other Westgate families. Lunches occur monthly on Tuesdays. Volunteers must have a current police security clearance. Email Marnie at westgatelunchteam@gmail.com for more information and for the link to sign up! 

Bottle Drive 

A big thank you to Westgate Families for supporting last week’s bottle drive! Together we raised $500.05 to use towards subsidizing excursion fees for families in need of support! We always appreciate the generosity of our Westgate School Community. 

Apple Fundraiser 

Through the Davison apple fundraiser we sold 319 boxes and raised over $2300!! Amazing! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help make it happen as well as to all the generous Westgate families who were able to purchase a box or two or more!! Everyone pitched in on this one and for that we are very grateful.  

Students with IPPs  

We will send IPPs home with students on October 11, 2024 for review. Please return the signature page in the envelope provided by October 16, 2024. Thank you. 

Halloween 

On Thursday, October 31, students are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes.  

If your child chooses to participate, please send them to school dressed in their costume that is comfortable for them to wear for the whole day.  Inflatable costumes or costumes that include weapons, masks or face coverings or costumes of a violent or gory nature are not permitted. 

We ask that parents not send candy, food or other items, as we cannot distribute or share them with students.
