Lates

We have been seeing an increasing number of students arriving late to school each morning. While we understand that poor weather conditions can contribute to his, as we move into spring, we kindly ask for your support at home in helping students arrive on time. The first few minutes of the school day are crucial, as teachers use this time to set the tone for the day and provide direct instruction.

Mat Mailandt – April 4-17, 2025

We are very excited for the return of Matt Mailandt to Westgate School. This year he will be joining classes for two weeks of improv and comedy sessions. Matt is a graduate of French immersion in Calgary and his aim is to help students speak French spontaneously in a very fun and engaging way. Thank you, Parent Society, for paying for this great opportunity for our students!

Read-a-thon – Thank you!

Sincere thanks to those families who were supportive of Westgate students participating in the Read-a-thon. It was evident that students were excited to read and motivated to reach their goals. Special thanks to Holly-Joy Stanford who organized this amazing fundraiser for our school!
