Goodbye – Mme Zoée 

Mme Zoée has taken a position in a small town in southern Alberta for next school year. We are of course so sad to see her go but thrilled for this opportunity for her to be close to family and to nature where she can camp and hike and enjoy the outdoors. We wish her all the best in her new home and school! 

Outside Drinks 

Please be aware that students are not allowed to bring drinks into the school from coffee shops like Tim Horton’s and Starbucks. If you do stop for a drink on the way to school with your child, they must be finished before entering the building. Outside of snack and lunch time, students may only drink water throughout the day from their water bottles.  

Library 

As the school year winds down, we ask that you round up all library materials and return them to the library. Teachers will let students in their classes know which books need to be returned. 

The deadline for returning library books is Friday, June 7th.  

Each student has received a Westgate School library bag as a gift from School Council. Please ensure that you keep this bag so students have their library bag when signing out books in the fall. 

Register for Transportation for 2024-25 

Families are now able to register for school bus service for the 2024-2025 school year. Service levels and proposed fees will remain the same as the current school year. 

Registration is available using your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how to create one.) 

Families must register by Sunday, June 16 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. Registrations will still be accepted after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume. 

You can cancel your transportation with no financial impact by filling in the cancellation form before September 30, 2024.
