Snowball (Volunteers Still Needed)
We are excited to welcome everyone to the "SnowBall" on Thursday, December 5 from 4:30-6:30pm. Please note that there is no supervision provided between 2:34 and 4:30pm.
The main event, a school dance, will take place in the gym. Casual attire recommended. There are also other activities scheduled to take place throughout the school & outside - skating in the community rink if there is ice. This is a family celebration of the season and school community. Each family must have at least one parent/guardian present with their child(ren).
The event is free of charge, but there is a paid concession, cash only, small change is appreciated. There will also be a variety of Food trucks outside!
This event is hosted by our School Council and the only way for it to be successful is with volunteer support. If the volunteer positions are not filled individual activities will have to be cancelled. Please sign up for a shift if you are able. These shifts are short so you can enjoy the event and contribute to its success.

Holiday Hampers
We will be providing Holiday Hampers for families in need at both Westgate and Sherwood School. We are collecting gift cards to be included in Holiday Hampers. Gift cards can be sent to school with your child and given to their teacher or delivered when dropping off Holiday Store items on December 5. Thank you for your generosity.
Sherwood School Holiday Store drop off – Thursday December 5
We will be continuing our annual tradition of donating items to Sherwood School for their Holiday Store. Thursday, December 5 is the only day that items can be dropped off for donation. Donations can be dropped off between 7:45-8:15am and 4:30-6:30pm. Most desired items include gift packs of toiletries, children’s games, puzzles, toys and activities for any age, warm mitts and hats, small household items, gift cards. Both new and gently used items are accepted. Please no food items.
Parking
We are asking again that parents do not park in front of driveways of our school community neighbors. We have been contacted about their inability to get in and out and causing significant inconvenience to their day. Please be advised that the Calgary Parking Authority will be contacted each time this occurs moving forward. Thank you for respecting this expectation and helping us to maintain good relationships with members of our Westgate community.
