Terry Fox Run – Fundraising News 

Thank you so much to all those families who donated to Terry Fox and who came to support our students in the Terry Fox Run. We have raised an astounding $9620.10 crushing our amount of $6800 from last year. So yes, Mme Julie and Mme Stephanie will be wearing banana costumes on Tuesday as promised.

NE Parking – Child's Play Drop-off 

As a friendly reminder, if you are dropping your children off at Child’s Play at the NE corner of our school, please do not park in staff parking. There is no parking there between 7:00am and 5:00pm. Those are assigned spots designated for staff and it causes delays for our staff who are trying to arrive at school on time and get ready for the day. Thank you.  

Meet the Teacher Night – Thank you! 

Sincere thanks to all those families who attended our Meet the Teacher night yesterday. We had a great turnout, and it was so nice to see the school community together in person. Thank you also for those who brought their bottles and cans to help our families in need.  

Orange Shirt Day at Westgate 

On Thursday, Sept. 26, Students participated in a school wide read aloud and engaged in a day of recognizing and honoring Truth and Reconciliation; “Chaque Enfant Compte”. We made our commitment and learning visible with orange ribbon tied by each child on the fence to form a heart. 

Frisbee Rob  

Frisbee Rob has returned to Westgate School and is providing sessions for all Grades K to 6 between September 26 and October 11th. Our teachers and students are really enjoying their time with him and we look forward to learning more! Please pay online through your MyCBE account as soon as possible.
