Valentine’s Day Cards 

Students may share Valentine’s Day cards with their classmates, but please ensure to include all students. We would like to ask parents to refrain from sending food items for students to share in class. Also, please do not include food items with Valentine’s Day cards to give to students. If you have questions related to Valentine’s Day activities, please communicate with your child’s classroom teacher. 

Child’s Play – Lost and Found 

Please remind your children to bring all their belongings from their coat hooks to Child’s Play after school. After 2:45pm, students and staff in Child’s Play do not have access to the classrooms and hallways in the other parts of the school. The items will have to be collected the next day. Thank you for your understanding. 

Carnavale – February 7–9  

Please see the email sent Thursday regarding our upcoming Carnaval. We are really looking forward to seeing many Westgate families join us for the late afternoon event organized by our Parent Society. We have many activities also planned throughout the three days at school including a Franco-Albertan performer, Cabane à Sucre and Carnaval crafts, music and games. As always, we will need parent volunteers to make the event a success so please look for the link to sign up! 

Unique Pathways Information Night 

Students, parents, and CBE staff are invited to the first annual Unique Pathways Information Night. The goal of this event is for students and parents to meet program partners and learn details about the courses and programs Unique Pathways offers for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.  

Students can ask questions to industry experts, speak to post-secondary representatives, see course outlines and materials to discover opportunities that develop career paths and interests.

When: Wednesday Feb. 7
