This year, CBE is celebrating 50 years of French Immersion programming in Calgary! CBE Volunteer Week
This past week was CBE Volunteer Week and we would like to thank all the wonderful parent volunteers who support our teachers and students. Your assistance in the classroom, on community walks and field trips, at our book fairs and school events is sincerely appreciated. Thank you all for helping make the Westgate School an amazing place to learn and work!
Brown Bear Workshops
We will be hosting a series of workshops this week by Brown Bear Woman Events for teachers and students to learn from and build relationships with Knowledge Keepers from Tsuut'ina Nation. These workshops will help us strengthen our cultural understanding of our indigenous neighbours and deepen our understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems. Students will learn about the Tsuut'ina teepee and hear Tsuut'ina stories related to the themes of belonging and connecting with the land. Sincere thanks to Mme Sheena for helping to organize these workshops for our students and staff!
